Nice to see you back on the water Martin and what a completely different experience it must have been. Just a thought for a future episode might be to explain your thoughts on the differences between an aft cockpit and centre cockpit layout and also how you have found ketchup sailing v sloop sailing. The Amel’s clearly are a step up from conventional production boats - but you will have great insight comparing Jambo (a modern production design) to Comeback (a traditional design).

Really nice choice! A great layout and design. I love that they have a protected helm. Hard to find in boat designs. Many even have hard dodgers but STILL put the helm aft of that protection. Makes no sense. Comes from the racing mentality with larger crew. Very similar but larger than my Kelly Peterson 44 cutter. Same D/L ration and a couple more feet of LWL. Of course the pedigree of the Amel is hard to beat. Lovely boat. Will keep following you as before. Come Back and sail on

Hello Matin have been watching your channel for a good amount of time, love the new boat a serious step up from the Bavaria love the Amel range of yachts real ocean going craft and really well made. Congratulations on the new boat and great to see you back.

What a way to get a nice boat. Very nice! We lost our 36’ cruising boat in Hurricane Andrew. Got a very similar boat to Come Back. A Kelly Peterson 44’ cutter. The same layout as Come Back. Very similar. So I am familiar with the change/jump to newer larger vessel. Much more to maintain but much more reward, comfort and ability. Enjoy.

A much safer boat for passage making. A good choice i think.

This was a very tough video to watch (especially Jambo's final departure from a port) because we all knew what was coming. You made it Martin, you survived, and you will forever have that experience that so few of us will ever have. I am looking forward to your new adventures.. and whenever you do make it to an Irish port, there will be a cold Guinness here awaiting your arrival. Fair Winds.

Cent pour deus nuits, Hundert fur 2 Nächte? Teuer, eben Karibik... 50 Euro pro Nacht zahlt nam fr einen Stellplatz in so mondänen Orten wie St. Moritz oder einigen Kurorten der Ostseekste.

Traumhaft, und eine tolle Presäntation; vielen Dank dafür 🙂 Wir waren leztztes Jahr im März auf der Rhea von der DR nach Saint Martin, auch in der Kabine - unser erster Segeltörn - wie gesagt: Traumhaft ! Seit dem lässt mich das Thema Segeln nicht mehr los. Deinen Kanal verfolge ich schon seit geraumer Zeit, er trägt natürlich auch dazu bei 🙂 Wunderbar.

Mgea krass wie er noch aus der Rettungsinsel berichtet. Unverwüstlich der Typ....Respekt!
